Waiting List
The Waiting List for the Public Housing Program is currently closed.
Frisco Housing Authority will only accept applications for the waiting list during an announced open period.
We do not offer any form of emergency housing.
We will make a Public Notice in the local newspaper and on our website at least 30 days before the wait list opens.
There is NEVER a charge to apply for federally funded public housing. Do not ever fall victim to any type of scam that attempts to charge you to apply for public housing assistance.
Do not use any internet website that says that they can get you on a waiting list for a fee.
These are scams and you will not be placed on a waiting list.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible under the Housing Program, applicants MUST meet the following:
- Qualify as a family as defined below:
Two or more persons (with or without children) regularly living together, included but not limited to Elderly Family, Near Elderly Family, Disabled Family, Displaced Person and a Single Person
- Elderly 62 years of age or older
- Disabled person who is receiving payment benefits
- The Family must consist of at least one (1) U.S. Citizen
- Favorable Landlord history for Adults 18 years of age and older
- Favorable Criminal Background for Adults 18 years of age and older
- Household income must not exceed the Federal Income Limits for the size of family

You must keep your e-mail address current. We will not send updates by any method other than e-mail.
You are responsible for updating your application information during the 30-day period of October 15 – November 15 and again during the period of April 15 –May 15. Failure to update your information during this time period will automatically drop you from the wait list.
Frisco Housing Authority will not release any wait list information over the telephone.

Frisco Housing Authority is NOT a federal agency although a large portion of funding is received from HUD.
Frisco Housing Authority is NOT part of the City of Frisco although the Board of Commissioners is appointed by the City Mayor.
